So what’s the name of your act? We are called sea of change Where are you come from? All around Ireland. Well, so what has connected you all together? Well, we’re all world record holders We all got together From being naked actually, you know, that sounds a bit strange. Six years ago We started a strip and dip that we did annually and every year got bigger and bigger and then last year We got the world record for the largest skinny dip In the choir half of us have been through cancer Half people, maybe have lost people or have had other issues. So we’re one big group together To look at everyone here we all look so amazing. I know yeah You can’t let something get you down though. I think that’s half your battle is to keep going, stay positive and keep fighting That’s why we’re actually called the sea of change because we went in to this speak UC and we came out change You know, you can do something really good from something that’s so bad We went down to the dipper strangers we became friends and we’re all their sisters now. Within our group half of us have been through cancer. We still have some ladies going through treatment at the moment, one ladies finishing her chemo tomorrow So we’re all wishing her well. We have out of a possible 90 boobs, we’ve 79 and a half. If we dance a little lopsided bear with us. Do you know what I am so excited for this and I’m sure the audience are as well are you excited? This is your moment I’m not a stranger to the dark. We don’t want you broken parts. I’ve learned to be ashamed of all my scars. But, won’t let them break me down to dust I know that there’s a place for us. For we are glorious. When the sharpest words want to cut me down. I’m gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out. I am brave, I am bruised, I am who I’m meant to be. This is me. I think that touched everybody’s heart. Do you know what’s just happened? You’re going straight through to the live shows. I just want to say That I found your performance so moving, so inspirational, I’ve had a very turbulent two years with my best friend who was diagnosed with breast cancer so what you just did means so much and really touched my heart and I just want to see you through to the live show. I think you’re all fantastic and an inspiration And you are everything that this show Is about You’re all such brave women and I absolutely commend you and Denise was dead right to hit that golden buzzer You deserve it. Well done ladies. You’re fantastic. You know as we get older in life where our lives get affected by many different things and I think at this point with the way they were going we’ve all been affected by cancer in one one way or another. I lost my mother to cancer so this was so moving to me in so many ways and I am so glad Denise hit the buzzer for you That was such a body-positive Inspirational number so keep doing what you ladies are doing You’re changing lives. Girls, that was so uplifting to hear that song sung by so many amazing people on one stage I think I’m gonna say it now. I think you’re gonna win this competition Hello there, welcome to Ireland’s Got Talent. Thank you. So, what are your names? Hi, my name is Sharon and I’m Brandon. And yeah, what’s the relationship here friends? No, it’s my son So, what is your act what you’re gonna perform for us? Yeah, we’re a duo we’re gonna sing a song. You’re gonna sing. Yeah. Have you been singing together for a long time? I think from the time Brandon could talk. Oh really? So what does this song mean to you? The one that you’re actually gonna perform for us today? Does it have some special meaning behind it? It does, on the third of September gone, Brandon became ill and he was on life support and they told me within two hours of them taken to the hospital he had that many seizures They put him on life support and they basically prepared us to say goodbye to him. Oh my goodness. But he came back to me a couple of days later. Every parent’s nightmare We got a phone call. Your son’s been rushed to the hospital, which was horrendous. I don’t remember very much. I was out with my friends. I Took something I shouldn’t have. I made a mistake. I nearly cost my life. The doctors were saying that his brain had been starved so much oxygen that they didn’t know what damage was done. I was holding his hand and we were told to say goodbye to him. I kept talking to him and I was singing to him and said come back to me He woke up. It just just wasn’t his time. I’m out to get a second shot So I’m here for a reason I just think music is that reason It gives me motivation to get up in the morning I thought I’d never sing with him again. We’re winners today, just to be here. No matter what. We’re glad you’re here. In your own time. And losing my sleep, please come back now To see that you are the reason Climb every mountain Swim every ocean Wow, that was so emotional. Today meant so much, I thought I’d never sing with Brandon again and just to be on stage I was winner. Thank you so much. I’m lucky I’ve had a second opportunity at life and to be on the stage with my mom Well, I just think you’re fabulous together You can see the love just shining through and you just both have individually amazing voices, but together you’re just phenomenal. Brandon, you’ve got such a fantastic tone to your voice You really really have and you are definitely ones to watch in this competition and it’s justified that Lucy should press that golden buzzer for you. You truly, truly deserve it. Normally we see this type of setup like one is better than the other but the two of you were equally as good. Brandon you definitely came out Of that woman. There’s no doubt about it. But well done. You’re just amazing I just love listening to the two of you and these are gonna be big stars. So well done There really is no love in this world like a mother’s love and We as mothers felt your joy your loving your pain all at the same time singing this song We are so glad that you’re here with us Brandon. Thank you so much for that Brandon and Sharon Everything just works, the voices the harmonies, the whole thing And I love the fact it was all real and honest. I think the Irish public are gonna fall in love with you. So, who are you? My name is Barry Darcy and I’m from Cork. I’m 38 years of age. Where in Cork? We just live outside of Youghal in a little village. Why are you here today? It’s, it’s to be honest it’s a bit of a sad story and It’s quite difficult for me to talk about and Sorry, but yeah, I thought I’d never sing again, so I’m here I had a herniated disc in my back and is crushed the nerves the main nerve feeding the nerves into my legs and we just went to get over the bed one day and fell onto the floor and it was a violation we’re still We don’t know what nerves they said, we don’t know whether they’re gonna fire back up again but We’re going to give you all the tools to try and help that, so they gave me a 50-50 chance of ever, ever walking again My wife she took everything on her shoulders when I was getting better. The kids helped her out. So we’re a solid, solid unit You know and we love each other and as all families do. I suppose, but you know, but we have a kind of For us a deeper love because we’ve gone through something for a pretty pretty hard I’m singing an Elvis Presley song, ‘The wonder of you’ and it’s a means a lot to me because I sat back in that wheelchair and I looked at my family and I saw what they were doing and for me and having to carry on with their own lives when dealing with with what was going on with me and the words in that song and you know when no one else can understand me. They they did understand and they understood very well What was going on with me and the wonder of you how wonderful you people are to me. Who’s with you today? I have my wife and two kids, my two sons are here today. So they’re backstage. Be great Why did you pick Barry? Because he got to me when he started singing it was like wow You were brilliant. Thank you so much. You deserve it. And I loved everything about it. And you’re from Cork so that’s a good thing. He’s an inspiration Barry what an amazing family you have And to hear you speak before you started singing and to hear your story just meant when you did sing, It just meant so much more. It was it was just brilliant, you put everything into it. Your vocal was just fabulous This is truly deserved. I’m so pleased for you. Louis, you made such a good choice. I did. Jason? Yeah, Barry when you said you’re injured and you thought you’d never sing again like that some story cuz you definitely sang again You sang really really well. That was perfect and Louis has got a really good contender there so well done Louis. Well done Barry. There are two types of people in this world There are people that just give up and there are people that fight and you are a fighter all the way Barry and this was proof that you can do anything you set your mind to doing and you just did it. All right Denise, I know you felt the same way Wow, so exciting guys, just amazing. You know normally in a dance group, you can pick out one or two stars but you are all stars. You were in unison, in sync. The younger kids came on at the end just smashed it everything about it was just fresh, amazing, just brilliant. We know that dancing might not be your thing So, why did you pick these guys? I got the shivers down the back because that’s what we’re looking for all the time. There was so many layers to this audition because there was like the older kids and in those middle age and then these young genius’s came out and nailed it. I pressed that buzzer because I totally think you deserve to go true to the lives straight up, no doubt about it. First of all, Denise what did you think of them? You know so deserved you are just amazing. Jason made the right choice. Absolutely the right push for Jason they 100% deserve that golden buzzer and I’m telling you they are definitely ones to beat. The hard work has paid off and that’s why they got the golden buzzer and Jason brilliant they deserve it.
