Hākinakina | Silver Ferns in camp preparing for Constellation Cup

The world champ Silver Ferns
face Australia this Sunday in the first test
of the Constellation Cup. Coach Noeline Taurua
is in Christchurch preparing the squad which has familiar faces
like veteran Laura Langman and Maria Folau in camp. But there are new faces. Young shooter Maia Wilson returns
to the Silver Ferns after a brief hiatus
from international netball. So Tumamao, what are your thoughts
on the netball? I’m betting the Diamonds
are going to make a comeback and absolutely thrash us because
we defeated them at the world cup. What are your thoughts? Maia Wilson, of Te Akitai,
Te Wai-o-Hua, our girl from Ihumatao, being named to play is great news. So I’d like to congratulate them
on having some new representation. I feel sorry for our team. These next two games are probably
going to be the last for the current coach
before she heads off overseas. She is the reason why our team
has been successful especially with winning
the Constellation Cup. They’re probably still licking
their wounds clean from what happened at the world cup. They will be back
and they’ve got teeth in this game. It looks like
they are seeking revenge. The Silver Ferns need to be careful. I would say that they reached
the zenith at the world cup and now they’ll be on the way down. How can Noeline Taurua re-motivate
them to reach that same zenith again which they reached in the middle
of the year?
