Tibetan Knot Bracelet | Interlocking Snake Knots the Easy Way!

hello my name is Marion I’m with marion jewels in fiber this is a video part of a new tutorial I just finished on making Tibetan Knot Bracelets today I will be showing you
how to tie interlocking snake knots the easy way we’re gonna tie the 1st snake knot the conventional way so 1st, clamp the 2 cords you’re working with with the right cord, go under the left cord and then over to the right creating a loop over it and then I’m gonna take my left cord and I’m gonna go over this part right here over the bottom and then towards the left under
everything and then up through this loop and then you’re just gonna go ahead and pull this cord and this cord is a Tibetan Buddhist cord with five colors that has some blue and some metallic gold elements so at this point my knot is finished and here’s the pattern of the knot right there as you can see you have two loops and then I am going to gently pull those loops against the mini clamp tightening the knot and here is our 1st snake not done the conventional way now we will continue with the easy Tibetan Method so hold the mini clip in your left hand the knot is right on top of you left index and loosen the right loop so right on top of your index now is an open loop and this is the cord that open and close that loop and it’s on your right hand side and the other cord goes on top of your index and the next step is wrap that cord around your index and then go through the loop lay this cord right next to itself on the right and then hold it with your middle
finger and now pull the open loop closed now pull the loop off of your index finger turn the knot over and now the open loop is on the top the cord that opens and closes loop is on to your right the other one is above your index wrap around your index go through the loop and lay it on its side and then close the loop and you can continue with this mantra wrap around your finger through the loop close to loop pull off your finger wrap around your index go through the loop lay it side by side hold it with your middle finger and close the loop or you can also do it the Tibetan way with the mantra Om Mani Padme Hum the full tutorial for this interlocking snake knot bracelet is available on my website. Come and visit. Thank you. Bye

  1. Marion, Iโ€™m so excited you are beginning YouTube tutorials! I am more of a visual learner & this is immensely helpful. YouTube is where I learned Kumihimo. I hope you will demonstrate every knotting craft you know! You did a great job & have a very soothing voice ๐Ÿ˜Š. Canโ€™t wait for the next video.

  2. Marion – thank you for such an interesting tutorial showing this technique. And congratulations on producing an excellent video. Look forward to more in the future.
