Shallow sterling silver grommets can be
used as bead liners. What they do is they protect the edge of the hole and your
bead from any chips that might occur when you string it onto a chain. They
also protect the chain that you’re using from any abrasion that could occur from
the rough spots inside your glass beads. They’re available in different sizes and
you just place a tiny amount of star bond glue onto the grommet itself, then
press it onto the bead; let it dry completely before you string it onto
your chain. And what this does also is it adds some perceived value to your custom glass beads.
